Introduction

    This blog was started with the intention of creating an archive that describes the full meaning and intention and meaning of Hozier’s lyrics as interpreted by me. 

    At this point in my life (age 22 as of 19/01/25), I have been listening to Hozier for the last ten years and although this does not imply that I know anything that the average listener would not know, I believe that there is space in the community for fresh eyes and new analysis as Hozier’s songs age. The most exciting part of creating this archive is the anticipation of the community that will grow from this  that will develop new thoughts and start new conversions surrounding not only lyricism but also nuanced topics within the global community.

    I  thoroughly enjoy dissecting Byrne’s  songs and assigning my own interpretations and meaning to them because truthfully, I have no one to scream about his albums to, so here we are. 

    Every and all dissection, assumption and context assigned to each song or lyric are my own unless stated otherwise. I may have read articles to substantiate my interpretation of each album/song; however, I have taken great care to ensure that my stance is not swayed. I will use references throughout the document where necessary.
